The organizers of the ACT Expo have developed a comprehensive outline of best practices to ensure that ACT Expo reaches its planned sustainability goals. A plan is in place that seeks to incorporate environmental considerations throughout the planning and execution of all stages of the conference in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment.

This sustainability plan identifies specific initiatives in nine key areas including; audio visual, accommodations, communications, destination, exhibits, food & beverage, meeting venue, event planning and on-site office set up and transportation. Standards were developed in conjunction with the Accepted Practices Exchange of the Convention Industry Council, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and CERES (Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies).

We are happy to share additional details about the sustainability initiatives planned for this event. Please contact organizers via email by emailing info@actexpo.com and let us know of any suggestions, ideas, or opportunities that we may have missed, or if you would like to become a partner in recycling, offsetting, or the overall “greening” of this event.
