Beyond leading the post-merger management of Navistar on behalf of the TRATON GROUP, Carlbaum has extensive experience in sales and international markets. For five years, he served as Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations of Scania CV AB in Södertälje, Sweden. In that role, Carlbaum managed support functions critical to sales and marketing efficiency.
In addition to his time at Scania in Sweden, Carlbaum worked as Sales and Marketing Director for both Scania Hispania and Scania Latin America. From there, he took on the role of Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Scania Latin America, before working as the Managing Director of Scania Iberica (Spain and Portugal) and Managing Director of Scania Brasil.
Carlbaum has a Master of Business Administration from Umea University in Sweden.

Andy Walz is president, Americas Products, a position he assumed in October 2019. He is responsible for optimizing Chevron’s fuels, base oils, and lubricants supply chains in North and Latin America, as well as the marketing, sale and delivery of Chevron and Texaco fuels brands and lubricants products that include the Havoline, Delo and Ursa brands.
In 2020 the renewables business unit was established under Americas Products to commercialize lower carbon products, including Renewable/Compressed Natural Gas, Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel for transportation. This includes infrastructure development of compressed natural gas and hydrogen stations, renewable natural gas projects, and all joint venture management in the lower carbon space. In 2022 the Chevron REG business unit was established under Americas Products, responsible for feedstock aggregation, renewable manufacturing, and marketing lower carbon fuels.
Previously, Walz served as the president of International Products, responsible for Chevron’s downstream fuels business and joint ventures outside of the Americas. He oversaw the refining and marketing of transportation fuels for commercial and retail sales across four key distributive areas in Singapore, Thailand, Korea, and South Africa, as well as Chevron’s joint-venture aviation activities in the Middle East.
Walz has also served as vice president of Joint Ventures & Affiliates, responsible for Chevron’s non-operated joint venture refineries in Singapore, Thailand, and Korea. Prior to that role, he was the vice president of Product Supply and Trading, based in Houston Texas.
Walz graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He joined Chevron in 1989 and has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Over the course of his career, Walz has progressed through a series of leadership roles, including regional marketing manager Southeast U.S.; advisor to the president of Global Marketing in San Ramon, California; and general manager of the Burnaby Refinery in British Columbia, Canada. He also served as the general manager of Marketing for Caltex Australia Limited, based in Sydney, Australia, from 2008 to 2013.

Adam Wright has over two decades of experience as a leader in the energy sector and brings expertise in strategic planning and operational excellence. Wright comes to Pilot after serving as chief operating officer of Pacific Gas & Electric Company, one of the nation’s largest combined natural gas and electric providers. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway-owned MidAmerican Energy Company which provides electric and natural gas service to nearly 1.6 million customers in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota. In addition, the company owns and operates a diverse and growing portfolio of power generating assets, as well as an expanding transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Adam began his employment with the Berkshire Hathaway Energy family of businesses in 1996, and in 2003, he joined Northern Natural Gas. From 2003 to 2009, Adam served in various management roles within Northern Natural Gas’ operations group. From 2010 to 2011, Wright served as vice president of marketing, managing negotiation and execution of long-term service agreements and general customer satisfaction initiatives.
Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2002. He currently serves as a board member on the Iowa Business Council and the Iowa Utility Association and is an advisory director for the American Gas Association. Past board service includes in the American Gas Association, Governor Reynolds’ COVID-19 Economic Recovery Advisory Board, Rejuvi Ventures, LLC, John R. Grubb YMCA, The Science Center of Iowa, Tom Osborne’s Teammates, and the Hope Center for Kids.
Adam has been married to his wife Sabrina for 21 years and together they have two kids, Kenedy and Adam, who are both enrolled in college. Adam was an All-American running back for University of Nebraska at Omaha football from 1997-2000 and was a fullback on the New York Giants roster for the 2001 and 2002 seasons. He enjoys spending time with family and close friends, traveling, and audiobooks.

With a broad range of engineering, sales and operations experience, Patrick Duan is Senior Vice President of Operations for BYD North America. He has played an integral role in bringing the global leader of battery electric technology to the United States and its continued growth in North America.
He joined BYD in 2004 as a Design Engineer, responsible for engine modeling and performance analysis for the firm’s Motor Development division. Two years later, Duan relocated to BYD North America offices in Chicago taking charge of BYD’s market sales of cell phone batteries and key accounts, as Project Manager and later Regional Manager. In 2012 Mr. Duan moved to the BYD North American Los Angeles headquarters as a Regional Sales Director for the coach and bus division, which is now the largest BYD group in the U.S.
In 2014, he was promoted to BYD’s Vice President of Operations for the North American headquarters, using his extensive engineering and management experience to oversee the corporate groups, and continue to expand the firm. In 2017, he also assumed the oversight of BYD’s SkyRail division for North America, the advanced monorail system.

Prior to his time at Rivian, Matt was Chief Commercial Officer at Proterra (Nasdaq: PTRA) where led the company’s brand, marketing, sales, and service activities. Under Matt’s leadership, Proterra led the development of the North American market for battery-electric transit vehicles and built one of the first large-scale fleet charging businesses in North America. Matt’s first leadership experience in clean transportation infrastructure was as CEO at Propel Fuels, a renewable fuels retailer building alt-fuels infrastructure. Matt was also an early investor in the clean energy economy, working in venture capital for nearly 10 years before beginning his executive career.
When he’s not at work building innovative EV charging companies, Matt enjoys outdoor adventures with his family in the mountains of California and beyond. He remains active in the cleantech startup community, including as a mentor and an investor.

Chanel Parson is responsible for progressing SCE’s vision for a Clean Energy Future through accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles, solar, and battery storage while also supporting grid resiliency through managing and maintaining strong demand response programs. Her portfolio includes over $1 billion in programs that directly support California’s objective to reach carbon neutrality by 2045.
Prior to this role, Chanel has also served as the executive responsible for building electrification, and energy efficiency programs.
Chanel has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA, a Master of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University, and a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Before Martin Brower, Ms. Senter was the Global Director, Food & Finance for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the Vice President & Chief Sustainability Officer at Kellogg Company, where she worked in various sustainability roles for nearly ten years.
Ms. Senter received Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science and a Master’s of Science in Environmental Policy, both from the University of Michigan.

Dublin was awarded the Leading Public Fleet for Green Sustainability at the 2018 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo and the No. 1 Small Fleet in the Leading Fleets award in 2018 and 2019. Darryl is active in APWA, NAFA and Virgina clean cities. Darryl retired from the US Army in 2003 after 24 years and served in numerous Countries around the world. He is a member of the Class 0f 2021 Public Fleet Hall of Fame.
