David Allen is Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer for PepsiCo Foods North America (PFNA), which includes Frito-Lay North America (FLNA) and Quaker Foods North America (QFNA). In this role, he is responsible for driving PFNA’s execution of its PepsiCo Positive (pep+) sustainability goals and vision to build a more sustainable food system and reduce environmental impact.

David began his career with PepsiCo as an engineer in 1996. He spent 20 years in various field manufacturing and distribution leadership roles across the U.S., giving him significant breadth and depth of supply chain experience.

Prior to his current role, David served as the Senior Director of Quality and Food Safety for PFNA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.

Mathias Carlbaum is President and CEO of Navistar, Inc. and a member of the TRATON SE Executive Board.

As Navistar CEO, Carlbaum helped the company increase its market share in North America and increase profitability substantially since the merger. He also led the cultural integration into the TRATON GROUP post-merger.

Beyond leading the post-merger management of Navistar on behalf of the TRATON GROUP, Carlbaum has extensive experience in sales and international markets. For five years, he served as Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations of Scania CV AB in Södertälje, Sweden. In that role, Carlbaum managed support functions critical to sales and marketing efficiency.

In addition to his time at Scania in Sweden, Carlbaum worked as Sales and Marketing Director for both Scania Hispania and Scania Latin America. From there, he took on the role of Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Scania Latin America, before working as the Managing Director of Scania Iberica (Spain and Portugal) and Managing Director of Scania Brasil.

Carlbaum has a Master of Business Administration from Umea University in Sweden.

Previously, O’Leary served as the chief transformation officer and Head of Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Germany, laying the foundation for its transformation and profitability improvement. Prior to that role, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of DTNA, directing operational and strategic controlling, treasury, accounting, tax, and IT functions for the company. O’Leary also previously served as the Senior Vice President of Aftermarket at DTNA, and as the president & CEO of Thomas Built Buses.

O’Leary has more than 30 years of experience in a wide variety of leadership and financial roles for truck and electronics manufacturers. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Seattle University, and he completed the Executive Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Jonathan Randall was named president of Mack Trucks North America in December 2022. In this role, he is responsible for all truck sales, strategic pricing, order fulfillment and commercial administration functions related to the brand’s activities in the North American heavy and medium-duty markets. He also acts as a key voice in the company’s future product development and strategic growth initiatives.

Randall joined Mack Trucks as senior vice president of sales in April 2016, bringing more than 25 years of commercial vehicle experience with OEM leadership positions in truck sales, product marketing, leasing and aftermarket parts and service. Randall also served as senior vice president of North American sales, marketing, and commercial operations for Mack Trucks.

Randall earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Colorado State University.

Jason Skoog is the Peterbilt Motors Company General Manager and a Vice President of PACCAR Inc. He has been with the company for 30 years.

Jason began his career at PACCAR Financial as a Finance Associate. Over the next several years Jason worked his way through positions of increasing responsibility and in 2008 he became Director of Market Planning and Research for Kenworth Truck Company. In 2010 he returned to PACCAR Financial as Director of Operations and in 2012 went back to Kenworth as General Sales Manager. In 2015 Jason was promoted to Assistant General Manager – Sales & Marketing and in 2017 he became Assistant General Manager – Operations.

Since April 2018 Jason has been the General Manager for Peterbilt. He has led the company through a period of rapid expansion of the dealer network and unprecedented level of new product introductions, including the New Model 579, New Medium Duty lineup and, more recently, the Legendary Model 589.

During his three-plus decades of time as a Penske associate, Vallely has held a variety of leadership roles, which include: executive vice president of operations; senior vice president of rental and vehicle management; and district manager positions in Landover, Maryland, and North Bergen, New Jersey.

He serves on the board of directors for Veterans Making a Difference, Africa’s Hope and the Zimbabwe AOG Superintendent’s Board.

Vallely was awarded a bachelor’s degree in business management from St. Joseph’s College in Rutland, Vermont.

Andy Walz is president, Americas Products, a position he assumed in October 2019. He is responsible for optimizing Chevron’s fuels, base oils, and lubricants supply chains in North and Latin America, as well as the marketing, sale and delivery of Chevron and Texaco fuels brands and lubricants products that include the Havoline, Delo and Ursa brands.

In 2020 the renewables business unit was established under Americas Products to commercialize lower carbon products, including Renewable/Compressed Natural Gas, Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel for transportation. This includes infrastructure development of compressed natural gas and hydrogen stations, renewable natural gas projects, and all joint venture management in the lower carbon space. In 2022 the Chevron REG business unit was established under Americas Products, responsible for feedstock aggregation, renewable manufacturing, and marketing lower carbon fuels.

Previously, Walz served as the president of International Products, responsible for Chevron’s downstream fuels business and joint ventures outside of the Americas. He oversaw the refining and marketing of transportation fuels for commercial and retail sales across four key distributive areas in Singapore, Thailand, Korea, and South Africa, as well as Chevron’s joint-venture aviation activities in the Middle East.

Walz has also served as vice president of Joint Ventures & Affiliates, responsible for Chevron’s non-operated joint venture refineries in Singapore, Thailand, and Korea. Prior to that role, he was the vice president of Product Supply and Trading, based in Houston Texas.

Walz graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He joined Chevron in 1989 and has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Over the course of his career, Walz has progressed through a series of leadership roles, including regional marketing manager Southeast U.S.; advisor to the president of Global Marketing in San Ramon, California; and general manager of the Burnaby Refinery in British Columbia, Canada. He also served as the general manager of Marketing for Caltex Australia Limited, based in Sydney, Australia, from 2008 to 2013.

Adam L. Wright serves as chief executive officer of Pilot Company. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Pilot Company is majority-owned by Berkshire Hathaway and employs 30,000 team members.

Adam Wright has over two decades of experience as a leader in the energy sector and brings expertise in strategic planning and operational excellence. Wright comes to Pilot after serving as chief operating officer of Pacific Gas & Electric Company, one of the nation’s largest combined natural gas and electric providers. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway-owned MidAmerican Energy Company which provides electric and natural gas service to nearly 1.6 million customers in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota. In addition, the company owns and operates a diverse and growing portfolio of power generating assets, as well as an expanding transmission and distribution infrastructure.

Adam began his employment with the Berkshire Hathaway Energy family of businesses in 1996, and in 2003, he joined Northern Natural Gas. From 2003 to 2009, Adam served in various management roles within Northern Natural Gas’ operations group. From 2010 to 2011, Wright served as vice president of marketing, managing negotiation and execution of long-term service agreements and general customer satisfaction initiatives.

Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2002. He currently serves as a board member on the Iowa Business Council and the Iowa Utility Association and is an advisory director for the American Gas Association. Past board service includes in the American Gas Association, Governor Reynolds’ COVID-19 Economic Recovery Advisory Board, Rejuvi Ventures, LLC, John R. Grubb YMCA, The Science Center of Iowa, Tom Osborne’s Teammates, and the Hope Center for Kids.

Adam has been married to his wife Sabrina for 21 years and together they have two kids, Kenedy and Adam, who are both enrolled in college. Adam was an All-American running back for University of Nebraska at Omaha football from 1997-2000 and was a fullback on the New York Giants roster for the 2001 and 2002 seasons. He enjoys spending time with family and close friends, traveling, and audiobooks.

Adams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington. He holds a professional engineering license from the state of Washington. Adams is based at Kenworth Truck Company headquarters in Kirkland, Washington.

Nate Baguio has been working in the transportation industry for more than 30 years. His career has taken him from behind the wheel of a school bus to launching the largest deployment of heavy-duty electric vehicles in North America.

Craig Beaver is the Administrator for Transportation for the Beaverton School District, located in Beaverton OR. With nearly 40 years of experience in the transportation industry, Craig leads the largest district-owned school bus fleet in the state with a staff of over 300 employees and 315 buses. The department transports over 25,000 students daily and travels over 3 million miles annually.

Beaverton uses 20 electric buses daily for General and Special Needs students and utilizes 20-Level 2 AC chargers and 3 DC fast chargers. The remainder of the fleet is powered by diesel engines using R99 Renewable Diesel and propane engines using Renewable Propane.

Beaverton was the first school district in Oregon to implement electric school buses beginning in 2021.

Steve relocated to England in 1998 to be Managing Director of Utility International Limited and then later promoted to VP of European Sales and Marketing.  When Steve returned to the states, he served as Vice President, responsible for various areas including purchasing, transportation, and aftermarket.  In 2023, the fourth-generation took over new leadership roles for Utility where Steve currently serves as President & COO.

Freight (Drayage and Dry Van Trucking).  Both Extreme and G.E.T. are currently operating class 8 hydrogen fuel cell trucks in the United States.  Glenn began his logistics career in 1995 as Logistics Manager at American Suzuki Motor Corporation.  In 2001, Glenn joined Kia Motors America and was later a founding member of GLOVIS America in 2003.

While in this role, he transitioned the entire terminal away from fossil fuel. Matt deeply understands the problem and the outcome if we fail to address climate change. With a broad range of engineering, sales and operations experience, Patrick Duan is Senior Vice President of Operations for BYD North America.   He has played an integral role in bringing the global leader of battery electric technology to the United States and its continued growth in North America.

He joined BYD in 2004 as a Design Engineer, responsible for engine modeling and performance analysis for the firm’s Motor Development division.  Two years later, Duan relocated to BYD North America offices in Chicago taking charge of BYD’s market sales of cell phone batteries and key accounts, as Project Manager and later Regional Manager.  In 2012 Mr. Duan moved to the BYD North American Los Angeles headquarters as a Regional Sales Director for the coach and bus division, which is now the largest BYD group in the U.S.

In 2014, he was promoted to BYD’s Vice President of Operations for the North American headquarters, using his extensive engineering and management experience to oversee the corporate groups, and continue to expand the firm. In 2017, he also assumed the oversight of BYD’s SkyRail division for North America, the advanced monorail system.

Alexander Freitag has been the vice president of engineering, Powertrain Solutions division for Bosch in North America since 2019. Freitag graduated from the Technische Universität in Munich, Germany, where he specialized in aeronautical engineering. He also obtained his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago.

Matt’s first leadership experience in clean transportation infrastructure was as CEO at Propel Fuels, a renewable fuels retailer building alt-fuels infrastructure. Matt was also an early investor in the clean energy economy, working in venture capital for nearly 10 years before beginning his executive career.

Steven Moelk is the Project Manager in the U.S. for the IKEA Zero Emission Delivery initiative. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring IKEA Retail U.S. fulfills its commitment to ultimately provide zero-emission home deliveries to all its customers.

Prior to IKEA, Mr. Moelk worked in the final mile segment of the logistics industry. In 2001, he helped form Urban Express, New York’s largest same day delivery service. He became the company’s CEO in 2008.  Rebranded as UX Specialized Logistics – the company expanded across the US and Canada, and became the largest home delivery provider for IKEA in North America. In 2015, UX was sold to XPO Logistics, where Mr. Moelk worked to expand XPO’s home delivery services.

He was tasked with the management of 3,400 managed assets and 9,300 assets in the self-managed program.  Prior to the state appointment, he was the Director of Fleet Management for the City of Dublin Ohio leading the team to numerous awards. At Dublin, he oversaw the building of a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station and the addition of 50 CNG assets. Dublin was awarded the Leading Public Fleet for Green Sustainability at the 2018 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo and the No. 1 Small Fleet in the Leading Fleets award in 2018 and 2019. Darryl is active in APWA, NAFA and Virgina clean cities. Darryl retired from the US Army in 2003 after 24 years and served in numerous Countries around the world. He is a member of the Class 0f 2021 Public Fleet Hall of Fame.
