ACT Shipper-Carrier Connect was a two-day event for North America’s leading shippers and brands and their carrier and logistics partners to discuss efforts and progress toward transportation sustainability goals. This first-of-its-kind event assembled high-level executives from across the logistics community to learn more about investments in clean fleet operations and how those efforts could translate into compliance and the achievement of ESG targets. Shippers aiming to reduce their transportation and distribution greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by partnering with their carriers and logistics providers should have attended. Fleets and freight forwarders who needed to better understand their customers’ needs, benchmark against others in the industry, and learn best practices for sustainability strategies and reporting should also have attended.

7:30 am – 8:30 am: Networking Breakfast

8:30 am – 8:45 am: Welcome Remarks

  • Nate Springer, Vice President of Market Development, GNA, a TRC Company

8:45 am – 9:15 am: Shippers Callout: Join Our Sustainable Logistics Transition

In this session, participants heard from the significant and growing number of shippers that needed freight partners to join them in delivering on sustainability. Carriers developed their understanding of what shippers were looking for from their logistics providers to achieve their sustainability targets.
• Developed an understanding of the supply chain sustainability goals, reporting, and strategies that shippers had set.
• Found out ways that shippers could partner with carriers to better understand how to achieve their GHG emission reduction goals.
• Explored how carriers could incorporate sustainability into their service offerings while remaining competitive on pricing.
