- Leading Public Fleet – DeKalb County Fleet Management: Led by Deputy Director Robert Gordon, DeKalb County (Georgia) operates a diverse fleet that includes fire apparatus, police cruisers, refuse trucks, motorcycles, and construction vehicles powered by electric, propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), and plug-in hybrid technologies. Since 2012, the county has reduced diesel consumption by more than 1.8 million gallons and expanded infrastructure with CNG fueling stations and more than 70 Level 2 EV chargers available to both employees and the public.
- Leading Private Fleet – Republic Services, Inc.: Under the leadership of Brett Rogers, Republic Services has deployed more than 60 Class 8 electric waste and recycling trucks and 15 electric support vehicles, along with over 300 DC and AC charging ports at its facilities. The company also launched North America’s first 100% electric refuse fleet and plans for 50% of new vehicle purchases to be electric or alternatively fueled by 2028, alongside a diverse strategy that includes natural gas vehicles.

PGE is also expanding EV charging infrastructure statewide and upgrading telematics to optimize vehicle health and EV use, while setting ambitious decarbonization goals for future fleet electrification.
