MN8 Energy Closes Tolling Agreement, Expands Public EV Charging Footprint in San Jose, California
MN8 Energy LLC today announced a tolling agreement with San Jose Clean Energy (SJCE) to design, build, own, and operate 40 DCFC ports across five city-owned sites in San Jose, California. Modeled after how California utilities and CCAs already procure power assets, the agreement eliminates ownership risk for public agencies — with MN8 funding and operating the infrastructure while SJCE controls branding and pricing. Construction begins late 2026, with stations online in early 2027.
