Track - Urban Mobility

As more of the world’s cities become congested and polluted, new business models and technologies are emerging to solve the mobility challenge. Fleets that are traveling through our city streets on a daily basis range from school buses to refuse to carsharing to delivery vans and everything in between.  These fleets have specific interaction with people and businesses in an urban environment that make them particularly attractive to deploy advanced clean technology as a way to reduce their emissions profile and achieve potential cost savings as well.  This track explores this urban mobility fleets and will cover the following:

• Fleet success stories – highlighting successes and challenges fleets have experienced in transitioning to advanced clean transportation options
• Fleet procurement initiatives – highlighting efforts to aggregate purchases but also change procurement efforts to better suit emerging technologies
• Infrastructure development—bringing to light current infrastructure solutions and needs to address the fleet market, including charging standards, the role of the natural gas and electric utilities, and initial station rollout
• Funding acquisition—addressing the different ways in which deals have come together to reduce the upfront cost of vehicles and infrastructure
• Technology improvements –  showcasing new trends and opportunities to improve vehicle performance, advance adoption and address challenges that may be faced in a clean transportation future
