ACT Expo Day Two: More People, More Vehicles, More Announcements

With attendance quickly surpassing the 8,000 mark and a trade show floor brimming with clean tech vehicles and solutions, ACT Expo 2022 rolled out another exciting day for everyone onsite.

The morning began with an electrifying announcement from WattEV and the Port of Long Beach —  the development of charging infrastructure for battery-electric trucks within the port complex. The charging facility will serve WattEV’s fleet of battery-electric trucks as well as other carriers committed to electrifying trucking operations to and from the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.

Attendees were then once again welcomed by GNA CEO Erik Neandross, who then moderated the Executive Roundtable: The Future of Clean Fleets has Arrived session, featuring Marie Robinson, EVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Sysco; Peter Voorhoeve, President, Volvo Trucks North America; Carlton Rose, President, Global Fleet Maintenance, UPS; and Art Vallely, President, Penske Truck Leasing.

The annual Fleet Award winners then took center stage, including:

  • Leading Off-Road Fleet: SSA Marine
  • Leading School Fleet: Twin Rivers Unified School District
  • Leading Public Fleet: County of Sacramento
  • Transit & Mobility: Orange County Transit Authority
