Industry is the general registration option for attendees, while Academic, Creator, Fleet, Media, and Startup registrations are subject to review for approval. All registrants are required to upload credentials for identity verification that clearly associate you with the company you represent.

Academic

Register

To qualify for the Academic registration rate, you must be a student actively taking courses or a current faculty member at a college, university, technical, or professional school. For verification, the information below is required with your registration. Part-time students and faculty qualify for the Academic rate if the below requirements are met. If approved, your college, university, technical, or professional school will appear as the company on your badge.

Each Academic registration will be subject to review for approval.

Registrants must provide the following information during registration for verification:

Students

Provide all of the following as proof that you’re actively enrolled:

  • A valid .edu email address
  • Student ID
  • Proof of active enrollment

Faculty

Provide one of the following as proof of current employment:

  • Business Card
  • Employee Badge
  • Copy of official company email signature
  • Website link to company employee roster
  • LinkedIn profile

Creator

Register

To qualify for a complimentary all-access Creator pass, you must be a digital content creator that does not work for a company that sells vehicles, technologies, or services directly to commercial transportation stakeholders, or a company that is a direct competitor to ACT Expo and/or Show organizer, TRC.

Each Creator registration will be subject to review for approval.

Registrants must provide the following information during registration for verification:

  • Links to social media handles (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X, etc.)
  • Audience description (e.g., Demographics, Locations, Job Titles, Interests)
  • Current follower count on each platform
  • Average engagement rate (e.g., Likes, Comments, Shares)
  • Links to 2-3 examples of recent relevant content

Audience Reach and Engagement

  • Has a minimum of 10,000 followers on a primary social media channel (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X).
  • Demonstrates high engagement rates (likes, shares, comments) specifically related to clean transportation or advanced vehicle technologies content.
  • Willing to share audience demographics and additional follower stats upon request.
  • Exhibits low engagement (e.g., minimal likes, comments, or shares) or engagement unrelated to the commercial transportation industry.
  • Primary audience is not interested in advanced commercial transportation.

Content Focus, Quality, and Frequency

  • Regularly creates insightful, high-quality, and visually appealing content on commercial transportation topics like renewable fuels, fleet management, or advanced technologies like autonomous vehicles, software-defined and connected vehicles and other advanced transportation technology.
  • More than 12 months of consistent content creation and publishing for your own social media channel (i.e., not a corporate brand).
  • Has less than 12 months of consistent content creation within the commercial transportation sector.
  • Creates content that does not align with the values or mission of ACT Expo.
  • Produces low-quality content which includes but is not limited to:
    • Subpar audio/visual elements
    • Inadequately written posts
    • Lacking educational value

Affiliations and Conflict of Interest

  • Prior collaboration with industry brands, companies, or other influencers within the clean transportation space is considered a plus.
  • Works for a company that sells vehicles, technologies, or services directly to commercial transportation stakeholders, including ACT Expo sponsors and exhibitors.
  • Works for a company that is a direct competitor to the Show and/or Show organizer.

Professionalism and Editorial Guidelines

  • Must maintain professionalism throughout the Event, strictly following the Code of Conduct and Editorial Guidelines, ensuring respectful interactions with Event attendees.
  • Commits to ethical content creation, avoiding sensationalism, misinformation, or negative content about vehicle technologies, ensuring content is fair and aligned with Event standards.
  • Has a history of unprofessional behavior at events or within the industry, including negative or disrespectful conduct online.
  • Known for negative conduct, including disrespect toward industry professionals, event participants, or other content creators.
  • Has previously violated the Event’s Code of Conduct and Editorial Guidelines or shows a lack of commitment to maintaining these standards.

Fleet

Register

To qualify for the Fleet registration rate, you must oversee a fleet of one or more vehicles and be directly responsible for managing operations, maintenance, and/or procurement of commercial or government fleets, including shippers, utilities, and municipal fleets. Suppliers and consultants are not eligible.

Each Fleet registration will be subject to review for approval.

  • Asset-Based Third Party Logistics (3PLs)
  • Construction or concrete fleet
  • Delivery (including last mile)
  • Drayage at ports and intermodal facilities
  • Fire Department and Law Enforcement
  • Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) (companies that own a fleet of zero-emission commercial vehicles and manage the charging/maintenance of the vehicles as a turnkey electrification solution for clients)
  • Fleet management company
  • Food or beverage distributor
  • Goods movement
  • Government, municipal, or public
  • Longshoremen
  • Marine Terminal Operators
  • Military
  • Mining Operators
  • Private or for-hire carrier
  • Public or private transit or shuttle bus operator
  • Refuse or environmental remediation
  • Regional or long-haul trucking firm
  • Ride share and mobility companies that own, operate, or manage vehicles as part of their services.
  • School bus operator or school district
  • Shippers
  • Terminal Yard Truck Operator
  • Utility company (only staff directly responsible for operation of the fleet vehicles are eligible. e.g., fleet or transportation manager/director/supervisor, fleet technician, operations/logistics manager. Business development, sales, marketing, or technical development do NOT qualify for Fleet Registration and must register under Industry Registration)
  • University or campus
  • Business development, sales, marketing, engineering, or technical development for existing or emerging clean transportation vehicle technologies
  • Dealership/vehicle sales representatives: OEM dealers are considered industry, even if they have a rental and leasing operation
  • Independent drivers working for ride share or gig platforms (e.g., Uber, Lyft, DoorDash drivers).
  • Investor or venture capitalists, even if investing in vehicles for a third-party fleet, or in fleet/vehicle technologies
  • Non-profit company (unless the non-profit operates a fleet)
  • Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or technology provider developing vehicle technologies and operating vehicles for development
  • Sponsor or exhibitor attending ACT Expo (please see the sponsor/exhibitor registration page to learn how to register for ACT Expo)
  • Start-up business developing vehicles or emerging vehicle technologies
  • Technology provider – providing or manufacturing parts, software, engineering services, developing technology for vehicles, or developing emerging technologies

Industry

Register

Industry is the general registration option for attendees. Examples include OEMs, technology and service providers, infrastructure developers and fuel suppliers, dealers, consultants, public agencies, associations, non-profits, investors and financial institutions.

Media

Register

To qualify for a complimentary all-access Media pass, you must be a credentialed editor or reporter from a trade, business, environmental, or mainstream media outlet.

Each Media registration will be subject to review for approval.

Registrants must provide the following information during registration for verification:

  • Links to your outlet/publication URLs

Startup

Register

To qualify for the Startup registration rate, you must be currently employed at a company that meets all the following requirements. Non-profits and small businesses do not qualify as startups unless they meet the criteria below.

Each Startup registration will be subject to review for approval.

Registrants must provide the following information during registration for verification:

  • Founded within the last 5 years
  • Have less than 25 full-time and/or part-time employees
  • Have a company LinkedIn profile (personal LinkedIn or social media profiles will not be accepted)
  • Must be an independent company that is not a subsidiary, joint-venture, or corporate affiliate
